Tina Stromsted, Ph.D., MFT, ADTR

Tina Stromsted, Ph.D., MFT, ADTR is a licensed psychotherapist and member of the Academy of Registered Dance/Movement Therapists (ADTR) in private practice in San Francisco. Dr. Stromsted was the co-founder and a core faculty member of the Authentic Movement Institute in Berkeley (1993-2004). With over three decades of clinical experience in hospitals, community mental health clinics, and private practice, she leads workshops in the U.S. and internationally.

Dr. Stromsted was a founding faculty member of the Women's Spirituality Program at the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) and a long time core faculty member of the Somatics Psychology program (CIIS). Currently she is on the faculty of the Somatics Doctoral Program at Santa Barbara Graduate Institute and a trainer in the Leadership Training program in the Marion Woodman Foundation. An instructor in Public Programs at the San Francisco Jung Institute, she also teaches at Art Therapy Italiana in Bologna, Italy, the California Institute of Integral Studies, Esalen Institute, and other universities and healing centers. Her depth-oriented work engages dreams, movement and other creative therapeutic modalities that facilitate healing, development and living a soulful life. Dr Stromsted's numerous articles and book chapters explore the integration of body, psyche and soul in clinical work. With a background in dance and theater, she has a special interest in the creative process and embodied spirituality. She is an advanced Candidate at the C. G. Jung Institute in San Francisco.
